Sophia Althammer

Information Retrieval  •  Natural Language Processing   •    Domain-specific Applications

I'm a third year PhD student at TU Vienna supervised by Allan Hanbury funded as a Early Stage Research under the EU Horizon 2020 project Domain Specific Systems for Information Extraction and Retrieval (DoSSIER).

My aim is to bring neural advances from Natural Language Processing and Information retrieval to domain-specific Information Retrieval in production including the legal, patent and medical domain.
